We had a really great fall season in 2015. Libby and Brian's wedding was the best way to end the season with everything about the day being perfect. The morning started bright and early with a group breakfast at Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast. The mood was happy and very relaxed which carried over well into the getting ready part of the day. Throughout the day they shared great moments with the family, friends and bridal party which involved tons of laughter, a few precious tears and many many hugs. The night was topped off with some of the most impressive dancing we've seen this year. Specifically Libbys dance with her father, then Libby owning the dance floor while all her closest girl friends cheered her on and followed suit.

From our wonderful bride Angie:
It was a beautiful and not too cold winter afternoon. We had snow flurries all morning. Both the church and the reception venue were historic locations walking distance from each other in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The bridesmaids wore lilac colored Amsale dresses and the bride wore a simple, yet elegant dress made by Judd Waddell. The groomsmen wore classy grey tuxedos. The flower arrangements were made by a local florist who grows her own flowers locally on a 36 acre farm.
Joey and I kept our vision simple. We wanted to get married! Everything else was just a bonus. We were so lucky to find amazing vendors and pretty much let them do their thing. From the wedding coordinator at the Tidewater, to the florist, the cake baker, and the photographers, we were working with incredibly talented artists. Joey and I were also so fortunate to have his sister, Annie--a recent graduate from SCAD, lead the effort with our invitations, programs, and seating charts. We had the Dean of our new church together and the Dean from Angie's church she had gone to in Laurel perform the ceremony together. They performed an absolutely beautiful ceremony. The whole day could not have gone more perfectly. We found ourselves surrounded by people we love, in a beautiful setting, celebrating a wedding that we felt could not come soon enough!
Genuine thanks to Kristiaan and Lionel for everything. They did beautiful work and were among the most fun guests at the reception :)

alissa + chris | dumbarton house, dc
alissa and chris tied the knot at the dumbarton house, a historic house museum in the heart of georgetown. their day was touching and perfect as they were surround many loving family and friends. in fact when it came to sibling count, they had a combined total of 9 who were also all part of the wedding party. their day began at the ever so elegant Melrose Hotel where the bride and groom got ready. they enjoyed a touching first look at the dc war memorial then headed over to the u.s. capitol for a some more portraits. on our way to the ceremony at the dumbarton house there was a looming chance of rain but the weather held out in our favor. one of the evenings many high points was when three of alissa's sisters performed a modern day singing/rap mashup. it was seriously epic! the evening ended with some crazy dancing and quiet little after party at ABAR.
Now for the pictures!
