Emma & John | Dumbarton House wedding
What a couple and what a wedding!!
Its rare that Kristiaan and I are around the day that a couple meets, but in Emma and Johns case we witnessed their first meeting at Emma's sisters wedding back in 2013. So we were beyond thrilled when they contacted us to photograph their wedding. This was the 4th wedding in this group of friends we've photographed so it truly felt like family.
We knew what we were in for great moments, happy people, great connections and fun dancing. We got all of that and more, plus working with one of our favorite planners of all time, Kristen of Kelley Cannon Events as well as a dream team of other vendors.
Check out our favorites from the day below.

Julie + Alex | National Aquarium Wedding
We've been excited about Julie & Alex's wedding for quite some time. Especially since they are Denver natives, and like us had to have their original wedding date pushed back almost a year. Also, who wouldn't be excited about a Baltimore Aquarium wedding? To be fair, their ceremony was in a church but the festivities and portraits happened at the Aquarium - still amazing!
Their day was full of beautiful and fun moments despite the impending tropical storm Billy which fully soaked, Kristiaan, myself and the wedding planners as we attempted to eat dinner. Still we persevered, had a great time interacting with everyone and made some lovely images in the process.
Enjoy a few highlights of the day below.

Lacey + Ryan | Woodholme Country Club
A perfect day, tender touches and family. Lacey and Ryan's wedding was one for the books. From the moment we arrived, Lacey and her girls, which comprised of her mom, grandmother, sisters and best friends were in great spirits which set the mood for the day. Ryan and his guys were happy and relaxed - like most grooms/groomsmen. The weather couldn't have been any better and the day was stress free all around. Partly in thanks to the staff at Woodholme and all the planning efforts and direction of Sharon and Lorin of Celebrations. As the day progressed it became more obvious how much love and affection was shared between Lacey & Ryan and their families.
Aside from the beautiful connections between family and friends the decor and reception were simply stunning. The all white themed reception hall, white flowers and candle lit tables were just a treat for us to photograph. The music was performed by Rhythm6 Band and their performance elevated the party to another level. It was definitely a reception that kept us on our toes with huge smiles and plenty of laughs.
Congrats to Lacey & Ryan! We wish you guys the best.

Cristina + Scott | The Oaks Waterfront Inn and Events
We met Cristina and Scott through our mutual friend Maggie and immediately hit it off. We had the same inappropriate humor so we knew we were made for each other. Their engagement session was nothing short of amazing and have had we many good times prior to their wedding. The wedding followed suit with perfection: an amazing loving, happy family, a fabulously fun bridal party and a group of friends that made us wish we were guests at their wedding. Lets also not forget to mention the beautiful venue The Oaks, topped of with a side of perfect weather. Tons of hugs, kisses, laughter and smiles!
The day was nothing short of magical and while everything about this wedding was perfect it is a little bittersweet as #CriSco will be moving away very soon. We wish them best of luck, success and happiness until they return to us!
