Lauren & Brendan | DC Engagement session

Engagement sessions should be fun and we highly encourage our couples to be themselves and just enjoy spending time with each other. Lauren and Brendan did just that and brought along their dog Crockett to join in the fun. It was a perfect sunny day as we started out at Meridian Hill Park and finished in Petworth.

Oliver + Maricela - Punta Cana Wedding at Hard Rock Hotel

It doesn't happen often, but Kristiaan and I were guests at my cousin's wedding back in March. Though their wedding was totally rained out, it was an emotional and beautiful day that ended with an amazing party.  The images below were from the day-after session which we were lucky enough to get good weather and capture these two in great spirits.

Shanellah & Bryan | Mayflower Hotel DC Wedding

Despite the rain, we couldn't have asked for a better day with Shanellah & Bryan! It was nice to have everything held at the beautiful Mayflower Hotel as we got to spend quality time with both sides of their family. Shanellah and her family are also a fellow Haitians which added an even more familiar and fun aspect to the day. Bryan and his parents and groomsmen were just full of positive, happy energy. Everything else just fell into place and we loved capturing all the happy faces and exuberant emotions. 

We cannot say it enough, but its really the people and their energy that make the wedding. Enjoy some of our favorites below!

Kate + Ben | Miami Elopement

I am proud to call Kate my friend. Though I must admit she does a better job at it than I do and I am thankful for her amazing energy. It was an honor to not only be her photographer for her elopement in Miami but also being their only witness at their ceremony. So it was a 3 person wedding slash informal but super fun portrait session in Miami. My favorite part about the whole was really who Kate & Ben are as a couple, happy, quirky and truly themselves - I couldnt have asked for more!
