Georgina + Dave | Great Falls Engagement session

If you've followed us for a while you know that we cherish families and real moments. Ann and Patrick's wedding was a strong re-enforcement of those core values. For their weekend in Virginia Beach, we were lucky enough to be invited for the rehearsal dinner as guests. We were warmly welcomed into their home by all their family and friends and knew it was going to be a great wedding. With the exception of the impending tropical storm that included blasts of sideways rain and sand powered by 30+ mph winds that forced the ceremony indoors. Still, that didn't stop Ann and Patrick from braving the weather to do their first look and portraits on the beach. The umbrellas were not just for show.
We were amazed at their resilience to not let anything spoil their day and even more impressed with how much love and happiness there was at their ceremony and reception.
Please enjoy their story below.

Some couples steal our hearts, other melt them away. Suzanne & Andrew and Blain did both. Blain is a soccer star and Suzanne's 10 year old son who was just so sweet. It was obvious how much he loved and looked up to Andrew. We loved all of the things that made this trio click, especially their family and friends. Andrew is a graphic artist and Suzanne is from Guyana which meant a great dancing party! Aside from a tiny bit of rain the day went off perfectly. In fact due to the rain we had their first look and portraits at the National Gallery of Art which was a perfect setting for them. We spent the rest of the day at Long View Gallery for a extremely touching and emotional ceremony topped of with fabulous party which was conducted by the band Amaretto.
Big thanks to our associate photographer Garrett for shooting with us while his wife was ever so close to going into labor!

We love easy going, simple and sweet weddings and Claire and Joel delivered on that note. We've known Joel for some time now and he's good friends with Ale and Aly whose wedding we photographed last year. Claire and Joels ceremony was held at the beautiful Wesley Memorial on UVA's campus and had their cocktail and reception on stunning family farm not too far away. We just loved all the sweet moments between Claire & Joel's siblings and parents and had a blast hanging out with their fun and crazy wedding party.
Congrats again to Claire and Joel and our best wishes go out to you and yours.
If you're looking for a cute and fun session you've stumbled on the right set of images. Megan and Patrick are such a sweet couple and getting to know and photograph them was so much fun. We were also blessed with an amazing sunset. Looking forward to celebrating with them on their wedding day!
Now time for some cuteness!
