We delighted in Aly (Alyson) and Ale's (Alejandro) perfect wedding weekend at Barboursville Vineyards. It began with wine, laughs and tender moments on the rehearsal day. Kristiaan and I quickly realized there was a special buzz in the air between family and friends. A buzz that reminded us of our wedding. Visually, we are drawn towards physical connections, happiness and genuine affection, and Aly and Ale's wedding had all of the above and more. There was an incredible bond that extended past immediate family. We saw family and friends come together and open their hearts not just to each other, but to us as well. Below are just a few of the many great moments from their weekend.
Brandon + Neela | AnnMarie Sculpture Gardens Wedding
A bride that smiles and laughs all day long is a bride we love.
We met Brandon and Neela at Katelyn and Kevins wedding last year. Brandon was a groomsmen and Neela was a guest. Every picture of Neela came with a radiant smile or a boisterous laugh. Fortunately for us they liked our work and hired us for their wedding. They chose the beautiful AnnMarie Sculpture Gardens for their wedding and got some of the best weather you could ask for. Kristiaan and I love when things come together perfectly but even more so when the couples family and friends are so visibly supportive, warm and have great energy. Also crazy dancing is always a plus!

Stephanie + Scott | W Hotel Wedding
You may remember Stephanie and Scott from the ever so cold, but equally romantic engagement session in Georgetown. Their wedding was held at the W Hotel in downtown DC on a perfect September day. They planned their day to maximize portrait and party time and it couldnt have gone any smoother - proof below. Aside from these two being perfect, relaxed and such a fun couple to work with, they had such a warm family and friends that knew how to party. Stephanie is also a cookie baking master! Shes introduced us to two different cookies this year that have changed the way we think about cookies. Yes they are that good! On another note if any of you newly engaged couples are thinking of using the W Hotel for your wedding, do it! Its a gorgeous venue with amazing service, food and perfect for receptions and after parties.

Dana & James | Four Seasons Hotel DC
We sometimes get brides that smile and laugh a lot. We sometimes get brides that smile and laugh even more. Dana was one of the latter. She was the definition of relaxed and happy and we loved it! She smiled and laughed for us all day long. Dana and James were two of the most relaxed couples we've photographed and being part of their day was so much fun. Their family and friends were so pleasant to interact with and welcomed us as if we were family. Big hugs and kisses to everyone we met and congrats to Dana and James.
