Megan + Patrick | W Hotel Wedding

A critical element of what matters to us as wedding photographers are the people. Family and friends, the ones who support and celebrate with you on your wedding day, make it amazing. Megan and Patrick had that, and were lucky enough to have an amazing venue and perfect weather especially for an August day. From the moment we arrived it was evident who the parents were - in a very good way! Both set of parents we abundantly happy, caring, helpful and very integral to mood and progression of the day. We felt blessed to be the ones to capture it and loved everything from the beauty to emotion to humor that their day offered.

Stephanie & Brian | DAR DC wedding

Why do we love what we do? Because we are not just hired to photograph weddings but also to be artists. Whether its emotional, compositional, journalistic, abstract or simply creative we love that our clients hire us because they trust our vision and our abilities. As I put this set together for the blog I was looking at our images and just appreciated so many different things about them. They are thoughtful and tell the story the way we remembered it. 

Stephanie and Brian's wedding was full of emotion throughout the day. It started with nerves from everyone because of the the possibility of rain. There was a collective wanting for Stephanie's brother who was deployed overseas and unable to attend. Though facetime came in handy several times throughout the day at key moments. There were a lot of smiles and happy people. There was joy and friends. Oh and just because we love them so much, we met Stephanie and Brian at Lauren and Dean's wedding a fews years back! And Lauren was the Day-of Coodinator with their good friend Kaycia!

Stephanie + Scott | W Hotel Wedding

You may remember Stephanie and Scott from the ever so cold, but equally romantic engagement session in Georgetown. Their wedding was held at the W Hotel in downtown DC on a perfect September day. They planned their day to maximize portrait and party time and it couldnt have gone any smoother - proof below. Aside from these two being perfect, relaxed and such a fun couple to work with, they had such a warm family and friends that knew how to party. Stephanie is also a cookie baking master! Shes introduced us to two different cookies this year that have changed the way we think about cookies. Yes they are that good! On another note if any of you newly engaged couples are thinking of using the W Hotel for your wedding, do it! Its a gorgeous venue with amazing service, food and perfect for receptions and after parties.
