katelyn + kevin | the center club

katelyn and kevin had a very sweet and heart felt wedding in downtown baltimore's the center club. their diy details and decorations were meticulously planned by the couple themselves with help from their fun loving bridal party.  we love when our couples do a 'first-look' and even more when they schedule plenty of time for portraits. its equally as important to build in extra time for getting ready to allow your day to flow stress free in case anything runs late. the evening was topped off with both some beautiful and wild moments on the dance floor.  

 

lauren + scott at nationals park

kristiaan + i had a fun time shooting lauren + scott on columbus day. we had never been to or even near the nationals park stadium so it was a double bonus for us. we capped off our shoot at zengo and boy was the good excellent! now for some of our favorites from the day!

Kristin + Will | Annapolis

We woke up before dawn to meet Kristin and Will in Annapolis for their engagement session.  It was well worth the extra yawns - the light was stunning and Kristin and Will are a beautiful couple, inside and out.  We had a relaxed time chatting and strolling through the streets of the charming little seaside town.  It's typically crowded, but our sunrise start gave us a nice quiet backdrop for them. We finished up with an amazing and well deserved breakfast at Miss Shirley's --- holy cow!  Yum!

eileen + brian | dc engagement

Awesome U Street Corridor engagement session with Eileen and Brian, winners of the Great Bridal Scavenger Hunt! We started out at Policy where Brian proposed during karaoke night.  They even wore the same outfits as the first night they met (right down the street at Black Cat).  How cute is that!!!

nicky + philip | dc

We are inspired by working with artists and Philip and Nicky were no exception!  They chose the National Gallery of Art for the first half of their shoot and not only were they patient and up for anything - but the natural, sweet moments between them just never stopped!  From there we headed over to a stunning mural in a DC parking lot.  The mosquitoes had Nicky for dinner but she was a trooper and wanted to keep shooting.  Our hats off to her! As you will see, the results were entirely worth it!  We had so much fun making art with them and can't wait for the wedding in June!
