hello, welcome to the eastern shore and nina + anthonys super fun wedding!
sam + luke | vintage engagement
Sam and Luke came to us with an idea... they wanted a dark, Tim-Burtonesque engagement session. We were intrigued but had no idea how we were going to pull it off. We spent a lot of time trying to find the right location, discussing attire, and exploring the dark side of our minds for inspiration. Lionel stumbled on the PERFECT location - a couple of old creepy dilapidated houses - and we were on our way. Sam and Luke did a terrific job on the outfits and more importantly, they were somehow able to project both darkness and beauty for our cameras. We barely had to pose them because they were so comfortable with each other and with their 'characters'. They trusted us and did anything and everything we asked. Amaze-balls!!!
We will love them forever for pushing us out of the box to create something unique, dark, and lovely.
Thanks, Sam and Luke! Can't wait for the wedding!
Sheryl + Derrick | New York W hotel wedding
luz + lance | brookside gardens engagement
Today I photographed my first Esession by myself (Kristiaan is out of town). As I was shooting I kept thinking about how much I missed her because of how happy Lance and Luz were together. Going over the pictures tonight gave me a really good feeling not just about them but just about everything in general. Very serious happiness!
leslie + mike | corcoran gallery
Leslie and Mike invited us to their home for 'tea' several months before the wedding. We were instantly fascinated by them both. We had a million questions about the artwork on the walls, places they had been... even a story about a rug shared with a friend over the years. Their accomplishments are impressive too, but what stood out to us most was how open and charming they are. We are so glad they found each other -- and that they found us too (thanks to Brooke and Tom!). We loved being a part of their celebration and we hope to remain in each others' lives for years to come.
