Shanellah & Bryan | Mayflower Hotel DC Wedding

Despite the rain, we couldn't have asked for a better day with Shanellah & Bryan! It was nice to have everything held at the beautiful Mayflower Hotel as we got to spend quality time with both sides of their family. Shanellah and her family are also a fellow Haitians which added an even more familiar and fun aspect to the day. Bryan and his parents and groomsmen were just full of positive, happy energy. Everything else just fell into place and we loved capturing all the happy faces and exuberant emotions. 

We cannot say it enough, but its really the people and their energy that make the wedding. Enjoy some of our favorites below!

Suzanne & Andrew | Longview Gallery Wedding

Some couples steal our hearts, other melt them away. Suzanne & Andrew and Blain did both. Blain is a soccer star and Suzanne's 10 year old son who was just so sweet. It was obvious how much he loved and looked up to Andrew. We loved all of the things that made this trio click, especially their family and friends. Andrew is a graphic artist and Suzanne is from Guyana which meant a great dancing party! Aside from a tiny bit of rain the day went off perfectly. In fact due to the rain we had their first look and portraits at the National Gallery of Art which was a perfect setting for them. We spent the rest of the day at Long View Gallery for a extremely touching and emotional ceremony topped of with fabulous party which was conducted by the band Amaretto.

Lauren + Dean | Longview Gallery Wedding

Such great memories from Lauren and Deans wedding! We instantly connected with them from the first client meeting and knew after their amazing engagement session that the wedding would be one to remember.  So many smiles, tender moments and a pretty epic reception complete with flying dollar bills, empanadas, a ukulele, and Greek traditions.

Dana & James | Four Seasons Hotel DC

We sometimes get brides that smile and laugh a lot. We sometimes get brides that smile and laugh even more. Dana was one of the latter. She  was the definition of relaxed and happy and we loved it! She smiled and laughed for us all day long. Dana and James were two of the most relaxed couples we've photographed and being part of their day was so much fun. Their family and friends were so pleasant to interact with and welcomed us as if we were family. Big hugs and kisses to everyone we met and congrats to Dana and James. anyka + ivan | wedding at mrs. k's tollhouse

From our gorgeous and ever so dynamic bride Anyka: "The wedding day was amazing! Things essentially went just as planned. We loved the first look! It definitely relaxed me and ensured we got our couple shots done ahead of time. I was very relaxed coming down the aisle and because I'd already seen Ivan, I was able to take in the joy of the moment and make eye contact with so many of our guests. I'll never forget that feeling. I'm also glad we got to take the group shot with all the guests! Once inside, everything went just as planned. When we sat down with you at our initial meeting, we emphasized how important it was for us to enjoy our wedding and have fun with our guests...we did just that! WE HAD A BLAST! We loved that you both joined the party and so many of our guests are still talking about how amazing you are and how they want to work with you in the future! It really did feel like we had two old friends photographing such a special day of our lives!"
